quite a few people showed up to an open mic event for musicians in my town tonight, a surprising amount of people considering the towns size. and it went quite well! a lot of people played and it was mostly older folks, lot of bluesy stuff was played, some SOME country OLD COUNTRY (the only good country ive heard) and overall a pretty folky atmosphere. not my genre of choice when i sit down to listen to music, but there was some pretty impressive stuff. anyway, i played an acoustic adaptation of king crimsons "formentera lady" (http://youtu.be/wKJIjF-BYP8) followed by my 15-minute piece "when & where" (ive posted the lyrics on here). i wasn
